ROL Gives Girls Wings: Donation Drive

ROL GIVES GIRLS
Donation Drive

By: Sang Kromah

Baltimore, MD – Resources and Outreach for Liberia (ROL) is holding a donation drive for the girls of Project R.E.A.D. (Restoring Education After Disaster). Unlike its other donation drives, this one is a little more personal.

Since Project R.E.A.D.’s drop-in center, which is slated to open December 2015 in Monrovia, Liberia will be a full-service center for girls in need, the help and resources given to the girl goes much deeper than education. “We are aware of the lack of feminie products available to Liberian girls. Girlhood can be a tough time, and even tougher if you don’t have the resources to acquire these crucial items. During my last trip to Liberia, I was shocked when a 12-year old girl told me that her parents couldn’t afford deodorant and pads,” says Dr. Margaret N. Kromah, ROL Co-founder.

ROL has established a commited team, who has been working diligently to encourage donations of supplies from local and international businesses and global citizens of goodwill.

The donation drive officially kicks off on Saturday, May 9th 2015 from 9 am – 12 pm.

All donations (Please see list below) can be dropped off at:

4403 Moravia Road
Suite 2
Baltimore, Maryland 21206

Donations will be accepted Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9 am – 12pm during the rest of the month of May.
